Bill Palladino

BILL PALLADINO is an author, entrepreneur, mentor, and guide who has spent his career partnering with people through moments of change: job loss, leadership transitions, reinvention, and chaos. He has built businesses and served as CEO, executive director, and lead consultant for organizations, both small and large, in the US and abroad. Bill's hunger for research and for uncovering the underlying truth of what matters stems from his first career as a journalist, primarily in the public radio system. After years of listening, facilitating difficult conversations, and helping others find steadier footing when life does not resolve neatly, he remains deeply curious.

Bill lives in northern Michigan, in close proximity to the forests, fields, dunes, and beaches of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Penny Krebiehl

Penny Krebiehl is a beloved artist in the Northern Michigan community—a place she has called home for over 25 years. Early in life, she discovered the joy of drawing and making meaning with pictures, and she has dedicated part of her life to guiding children to discover and ignite their own unique artistic talents. Penny is a former art school director, a current Montessori early childhood educator, a garden farmer, and a grandmother. Her illustrations reflect a deep love of nature and the quiet beauty of the place she calls home. She hopes the artwork in this book offers readers of all ages comfort, wonder, and a lasting connection to the story and the lakeshore of the Sleeping Bear.
